Any company that wants to have a backup copy of your files you will already know the advantages they have. The company’s internal information should not leave the business, nor should it be exposed to untrusted employees or, of course, to a generic file storage system.

The administrator, on the other hand, will have a private and secret key with which he/she will be able to read, modify and retrieve the data. You can encrypt the files yourself manually or via software, or better yet, use an online backup with data encryption.
That is, a series of mathematical techniques will be implemented to establish codes, protocols and authentication systems that probabilistically hinder an outsider from entering, modifying and manipulating the data. The difference between an encrypted and secure backup and having the data stored “as is” anywhere is enormous.
